My Bride and Groom, Laura and Alex contacted me in the middle of September to find out my availability for their wedding in April 2018. Both residing in the US, this was all done via email and once they had booked, we were able to continue further consultations via Skype. Being local to their chosen venue The Bingham Riverside in Richmond Upon Thames. I was familiar with the Bingham Hotel venue and able to visit take photos and suggest the most suitable flower placement to create their Floral dream.
Laura had a good idea of what she wanted and the looks she wanted to create, an elegant, romantic and timeless style. One flower Laura was very keen to have on her Wedding day were Peonies. However in the UK Peony are usually only available around May, June and possibly some of July. As their Wedding day was at the end of April, I was unable to guarantee I would be able to source them. I used my expertise to offer an alternative (in case I was unable to get Peonies), this was a beautiful Garden Rose, which has a similar shape and look but smaller in size. Laura was happy to go with my professional recommendations and leave the final decision about her bouquet to me.
In the weeks leading up to the Wedding, I spoke to my trusted flower suppliers to see if I could source Peonies and Laura was in luck! As a professional Wedding florist and entrusted by Laura and Alex I was able to create their Floral dream. The other flowers we chose to use in the Wedding were stunning large headed Hydrangea, elegant Tulips, beautiful spray roses and tall timeless Delphinium. Once we knew we could source Peonies we choose the wonderfully shaped 'White Ohara' Garden roses for their exquisite fragrance.
Laura and Alex got married at @thebingham in Richmond Upon Thames, Surrey. A renowned riverside wedding venue dating back to the 1700's. The Bingham Hotel is laid out over four floors and has beautiful panoramic views over the river Thames, beautifully timeless design with modern and period features. Ceremonies and receptions take place in the Garden rooms downstairs, that open out to the balcony that over looks a wonderful tranquil garden area of the Bingham.
Being based locally in Teddington, we know the Bingham venue well and were able to advice our couple on flower placement. We decorated the stunning fireplace in the bar area as it the focal point of the room. With a large glass mirror above the mantle it echo's the height and elegance of the room which had a spectacular chandelier hanging from the central ceiling at the time of the Wedding.
Two large vase arrangements full of beautiful flowers for the ceremony area and a couple vases of flowers along the side ledges.
In the reception room, each table had one variety of chosen flowers in a low vase to fully appreciate the gorgeous quality of each flower. Some of the tables had a selection of three vases with single flower varieties to keep in line with the clean classical style.
The Bridal bouquet a compact dome which included stunning white and pink Peonies and the most fragrant White Ohara rose, tied simply with satin ribbon. This offset Laura's dress perfectly, her dress was the best of both worlds. A stunning Pronavias gown, simple, elegant in the front with a bateau neckline and low waist. The lace on the back of this gown was marvellous and full of stunning detail.

Five Bridesmaids each carried a smaller version of the Bridal bouquet, again tied simply with satin ribbon to complement their beautiful blush pink dresses.
It was an honour to be chosen as Laura and Alex's Wedding florist and although we didn't officially meet until their Wedding day they were very happy with the floral vision I created for their special day. Thank you Laura and Alex for your lovely words....
