Humanist wedding ceremony

When Helen and Geoff first got in contact they explained that they were planning a humanist ceremony in the garden at the Bingham Riverhouse, in Richmond. Their plan was for the event was to be a relaxed, summer celebration rather than a formal wedding. Both loving gardens and flowers from the beginning they were keen to have a large floral statement arch with a aisle of flowers. With this in mind and the wedding being outside we felt it was important for the floral design to be more relaxed and be in keeping with the garden and for the florals to compliment the landscape.

Statement flower arch and aisle flowers

A beautiful meadow aisle of flowers led down to their outdoor ceremony framed by a gorgeous floral arch. This open half circle moon gate style floral arch representing eternal love provided a perfect backdrop for our couple's humanist ceremony.

A joyful relaxed day with a garden party feel at the Bingham Riverhouse, a special location for this is were the couple had first met. Guests were first greeted by the Groom with a glass of champagne that they could enjoy during their special celebration. See below some lovely details like the unique name tags created by a friend of the couples so that guests could attach their names to their individual drinking glass.

A special ring bearer Bo, Helen's dog was also part of their special day carrying the ring down the aisle.

The wow statement open moon gate arch which included lush green foliage and smokebush, roses, sweet pea trails, delphinium, antirrhinum, Ammi, hydrangea as well as a selection of plants that our couple where able to take home and plant in their garden.

A stunning 3 tier cake, chocolate brownies, heart biscuits, macaroons were some of the delicious evening sweet treats created by Cake Magic.

Sustainable floristry and gifting flowers to guests

Creating sustainable floral design was important to our couple so we designed all flowers on site on the morning of the Wedding. Using foam free techniques with flowers and foliage in water. Also using plants into the designs meant that these could be given away as gifts to the guests. One of our special services is returning to the venue at turnaround to move flowers so all flowers from the aisle where relocated to other areas of the venue to be enjoyed through out the day. The floral arch was kept in situ for the day and as the design was open at the base it meant the bench seat could be placed back in the garden so guests could enjoy a beautiful flowered seat location by the river.
