I have a beautiful intimate September Wedding which was held at The Petersham Hotel in Richmond to share with you. Jennie and Will exchanged their Wedding vows in the upstairs River Room at The Petersham Hotel and as the name suggests it has stunning views over the Petersham meadows and River Thames. Located in Richmond upon Thames the Hotel is full of Victorian splendour built in 1865 and features a magnificent Portland stone staircase.
The entrance steps leading into the Hotel provide a perfect photo opportunity for a romantic confetti shot after your ceremony with all your guests.
The colour palette was a wonderfully romantic soft blush pink, cream and dusky antique pink tones. The buttonholes were a single stunning Quicksand rose with foliage and berry detail to complement the flowers in the Bridal bouquet.
For Jennie's bouquet we used beautiful blush Quicksand roses, Bombastic spray roses, antique Amnesia roses with her delicate muted hues. Lisianthus, Astrantia and wonderfully fragrant Tubarose, Snowberry and eucalyptus to create a posy style Bridal bouquet.
The Ceremony in the River room at The Petersham Hotel, with the windows offering views across The River Thames and The Petersham Meadows.
Two freestanding Pedestals stood on either side of the ceremony table and these contained Antirrhinum, Lisianthus, Tuber rose, Quicksand roses, Spray roses and the most gorgeous Antiquet Hydrangea which are always wonderful shades in September. Using pedestals in urns that are easily moveable they were repurposed and enjoyed at their intimate Wedding breakfast downstairs in the private Terrace Room.
A long low style flower arrrangement for the ceremony table which was later repurposed and used as the central table arrangement on the long dining table in the Terrace Room.
Magnificant Portland stone staircase, reported to be the tallest unsupported staircase in the country.
Their daughter and son were flower girl and page boy and we created the cutest tiny flower wand of spray roses for her to carry and a tiny matching buttonhole.
Small hand tied posies for the other girls to carry which contained a few of the special flowers from the Bridal bouquet.
The long intimate dining table which can seat 30 guests a perfect number for a small Wedding at The Petersham Hotel. A separate private room located next to the Terrace room often has a special table for the children. Low level table arrangements on the tables were created so that guests could enjoy each others company and easily see each other across the table.
Low level vases of flowers lined the long table, the vases in antique colours so they complemented the flowers and these were given away to guests as gifts at the end of the evening so that they could be enjoyed at home.
Thank you very much to Jennie and Will for entrusting me to create your Wedding flowers and for sharing your beautiful photos of your day with me.
