As I write this blog we are two weeks into lock down and things are changing everyday. The whole worldwide pandemic is feeling very weird for everyone due to the Covid-19 current situation. I hope that those of you that can stay home are well and keeping safe. For those of you who are still at work, supporting the community my huge thanks go out to you all for playing such an important part in keeping everyone safe.
As a Wedding and Event florist, flowers are my passion and I love nothing more than creating designs with flowers. Due to public gatherings being banned it has meant all of my upcoming Weddings and Events have been postponed up until July.
My heart goes out to all couples who have had to postpone but remember that your Wedding will be even more gorgeous and wonderful whatever date and day your marry. May and June Weddings that would have been having beautiful Peonies if you are now looking at a Winter or Spring Wedding you could include romantic candles and gorgeous rufflicious Ranunculus and stunning textured foliage.
Spring and Summer Weddings have been postponed and a difficult decision for many late Summer couples at the moment as we all hope that things will be back to normal and that their Weddings can go ahead.
Months of planning go into Weddings and the suppliers in the Wedding industry are all in the same boat, we are working together to accommodate to all the rescheduled dates.
The smells and flowers that each season brings fills me with delight and excitement when Anemones, Hellebore, Ranunculus, Sweet Peas and Peonies become available through out the year. For many couples who have had to postpone their original Wedding date and now planning new dates that could be Winter or Spring I am here to guide you and recommend alternative flowers that will be in season. You can view my blog post on the wonderful opportunities of seasonal flowers for your wedding.
We source our flowers from wholesalers who use the Dutch Flower auction and I also visit a local Flower Farm. Quality is important to me and no two Weddings are the same so if you are looking for a florist to create your dream Wedding flowers we are having our current consultations via Google Meet. Appointments can be booked with an email and we can set up a convenient time to talk and meet.
We are currently also dealing with new enquiries from couples who have recently become engaged and these are exciting times.
Wedding enquiries for 2021 will keep me busy over the coming months and I urge newly engaged couples if you have booked your Wedding date and venue for 2021 to please get in contact with suppliers as many of us already have dates booked from 2020 Weddings that have already rescheduled. The new online tools like Google Meet and Skype are a great way to explore your flower dreams and we can screen share with showing examples of weddings and ideas.
